All mine impacted waters are of concern to our communities. Nitrate-impacted drainage is one area of concern, but is sometimes seen as a lesser medium term effect compared to AMD.
This talk, aligning to the conference theme of meeting the challenge through innovation, presents a conceptual model and data to suggest that perhaps there is a relationship between sulfide mineral content and nitrate concentrations in mine drainage from certain mine domains.
Understanding what materials and mine domains could be at greater risk from nitrate-impacted drainage is an essential step in developing better management processes in the future.Learn more and register online : icard2021.com
