Life of Mine 2018 Brisbane 25 – 27 July

Join Mine Waste Management in Brisbane at the AusIMM Life or Mine 2018 conference.

Director and Senior Geochemist Josh Pearce will be presenting alongside Ben Miles of Roy Hill Iron Ore on Roy Hill’s practical acid and metalliferous drainage (AMD) management system.

The Roy Hill iron ore mine, which has a mine life of 18 years, will require the management of more than three billion tonnes of waste rock. In adopting a best practice approach to waste rock management, Roy Hill developed an AMD Management System that is comprised of both an AMD Management Plan and an AMD Operations Manual that are connected through adaptive management processes.
